While in interviews he poses as a humble musician, in real life Goran Bregović lives like a true Parisian aristocrat. In the 10th arrondissement of the French capital – where prices soar up to €15,000 per square meter – the star owns two luxury apartments hidden behind a web of company registrations.
Three companies – with almost comical names “Tetak” (uncle), “Tetka” (aunt) and “Tuke” (aunts) – hold the key to the property empire. In “Tetka” the director is his wife Dženana, managing capital worth over €1 million. Officially, the company is registered for 99 years – enough to secure the family’s paradise for children, grandchildren and beyond.
“Tuke” is a true family fortress – 20% is owned by Bregović through “Tetak” from Sarajevo, while the rest is split between his three daughters and Dženana. The company’s value – around €861,000 – includes real estate any Parisian socialite would envy.
The oldest, “Tetak”, dates back to 1994. Bregović owns 90%, while Dženana holds 10%. Interestingly, the company’s address has mysteriously changed over the years until it matched the location of the second apartment.
According to official records, he is a Serbian citizen, while his wife and daughters are French. The couple married in 1993 at the Paris embassy of the then Serbia and Montenegro.
Neighbor Céline lifts the curtain: “Goran is highly respected here, but he comes rarely. Dženana is here with the girls all the time, and now they’re on holiday in Montenegro. A long-distance marriage? Logical – he’s always on the road, and they’re always in luxury.”
